Financial:

This role is accountable of warranting agave efficiency continuous improvement initiatives, based on the short-mid-long term outcomes quantification vs business targets.

The person in charge of this position tower controls the key success financial, governance, logistics important metrics such contracts and POs expirity/coverage, risk control based on TRC agave requirements, OTIF, ART, VTA, among others.

Market Complexity:

The agave supply process is a key part of the Tequila & Mezcal Category, the agave market takes place in a complex environment, which added to the important participation it has in the cost of the product, makes the appropriate management of the agave supply process became key for the successful development of the category, this includes the selection of the appropriate commercial partners, as well as the adequate planning and execution of the process.

It is also important to consider that Diageo has been entering an expansion process and has been growing its presence in the Tequila business, this is also reflected in our participation in the agave market, currently the agave footprint considers different supply points along throughout the territory of the appellation of origin, as well as different coverage models depending on the distillation strategy.

Leadership Responsibilities:

This person must have a strong influence in terms of teamwork and operational understanding, over the whole value chain actors (from agave fields to intake), in order to assure not only a disciplined and accurate way, but also to propose alternatives to ease process.

Purpose of Role:

Achieve, monitor, data analyze and continuous improve business critical metrics related with Agave Supply Chain for the category.- Establish the vital data to analyze the future of each particular project.- Analyze all available data to discover trends and patterns that can help the company.- Build business models that are appropriate to the needs of each project derived from the information that has been obtained.- Present reports that reflect through the evaluation of the data the opportunities for improvement.- Identify the needs and strengths of the project and align them with BI solutions.- Improve workflows and provide foresight on trends that are being established.

Top 3-5 Accountabilities:

Design, implementation and management of Agave balance score card for Tequila and Mezcal
Report periodically executive reports for SLT and strategy partners
Lead and supervise productivity projects along the whole supply chain
Design, standardize and supervise important metrics board along with agaveros as key aspect of long-term value strength and efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Engineering (industrial, chemical, mechanical)
Agave logistics, agave intake and basic conversion operations
TRC agaverelated standards, requirements and procedures
Six sigma
Lean manufacturing
Balanced score card implementation
Experience direct or indirect team management with a strong result delivery focus.
Data trend and predictive analysis.
Upper intermediate advanced Business English.
Strong communication capabilities.
Continuous improvement culture implementation experience.
