  • Main responsibilities:
  • Governance of financial performance regarding the US Region IFM commercial program to drive achievement of objectives.
  • Leadership responsibilities include the creation and implementation of efficient and streamlined financial controls and processes for the exchange of the thirdparty data into the proprietary Novartis financial system.
  • Oversee IFM third party and utility financial budgeting and reporting (monthly/quarterly/year end close), resolve escalation issues, negotiate settlements, and ensure accuracy of inflationary and exchange rates within the financial reports.
  • Manage purchase orders and yearend activities for the US region, report on key performance indicators, and lead work streams for process improvements (i

e:
order to payment process, customer satisfaction.)

  • Facilitate and participate in the development of scope change controls to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Obtain alignment with the REFS Business Planning & Analysis (BPA) representative on scope change budgetary impact and compliance with master services agreement commercial terms.
  • Ensure program processes, procedures and records meet and comply with Procurement and Financial Reporting & Accounting (FRA) requirements.
  • Advocate and enforce applicable Novartis standards, policies, procedures and ensures proper documentation is in place and maintained for audit purposes.

Minimum requirements

  • 10 years of relevant supplier management, contract management, operational and financial process, controls, audit, and business planning experience.
  • Consulting or procurement experience a plus.
  • Understanding of Novartis organizational structure and experience working with all Novartis divisions is a plus. Working knowledge using the Novartis ERP system (SAP) and Procurement system (SRM) also a plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple work streams and under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality of work.
  • Excellent project management, risk mitigation and problemsolving skills.
  • Exceptional time management, planning, organizational, communications, negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Team player with ability to work in a complex matrix environment, interact with all levels of management, in a crossfunctional team environment.
  • Working knowledge using Microsoft Office (Microsoft 365) Teams, Word, PowerPoint. Intermediate skills (at a minimum) using Excel.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
