This role provide medical and scientific leadership and oversight for the Neurology franchise and maintain the highest level of knowledge about the disease and the product.


Key activities

  • Collaboratively develops, adapts, and executes materials and educational programs with the aim of advancing UCB's medical and scientific objectives. This includes reviewing and approving specified promotional and nonpromotional materials.
  • Manages the OPEX budget allocated for the development and execution of medical programs.
  • Offers medical and scientific guidance and grants approval for all Neurology activities in Mexico.
  • Coordinates the generation of product and disease state data (IIS, audits, RWE, etc.) in collaboration with local Medical Scientific Partners.
  • Leads the local publication plan and ensures its implementation.
  • Collaborates with the Ecosystem Solutions Lead to design and deliver training and mentoring programs for fieldbased Medical Scientific Partners and Healthcare Provider Partners, ensuring their proficiency in scientific knowledge and skills for their roles.
  • Represents Mexico in global discussions related to clinical research projects.
  • Evaluates the feasibility and strategic alignment of unsolicited investigatorinitiated studies (IIS) and facilitates their submission to global review committees.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders and advisors to identify opportunities for UCB to further contribute to creating value for patients.
  • Takes proactive measures to ensure that patients receiving UCB value solutions have the best possible experience.
  • Manages and develops Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare Provider Partners to ensure effective implementation of UCB value solutions.
Ensures consistent alignment of scientific messaging across all Neurology activities in Mexico, including Advisory Boards, Speaker Events, etc. Strategic Planning

  • Formulate a brand/patient value strategy complete with specific schedules, budgets, and assignments for stakeholders, all in alignment with the global strategy.
  • Lead the execution and take ownership of nPVU PVP 2.0.
  • Develop a 10year plan (including life cycle management) and a oneyear marketing/patient value plan, encompassing tactical and financial aspects, to be revised annually.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and outline backup plans.
  • Examine and evaluate the brand, market, and competitors through diagnosis and analysis.
  • Identify and predict crucial trends in the environment and the value chain, recognizing significant value/demand aspects and driving forces.
  • Create forecasts, budgets, and monthly updates, while ensuring the appropriate allocation of resources.
  • Propose price adjustments based on market needs, following agreement within the Business Unit

Requirements:


  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a medical function (Senior Medical Manager
  • Medical Lead) in high specialty pharmaceutical.
  • Experience on Neurology field is preferred
  • Experience developing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Market expertise in health systems (large medical groups and integrated delivery networks) and accountable care organizations
  • Market expertise in Public and Private markets in Mexico as well government processes (Control Tower & PEPMAE) and other relevant guidelines is preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership skills performing high performance teams
