About the role:


As a Pricing Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing pricing strategies, conducting market research, and providing recommendations to optimize product pricing and maximize profitability.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data, assess competitive landscapes, and develop pricing models aligned with business objectives.

Your insights will directly impact pricing decisions, revenue growth, and market competitiveness.


Key Responsibilities:


Market Analysis:

- comprehensive market research to identify pricing trends, customer behavior, and competitor strategies.

  • Analyze macroeconomic factors, industry dynamics, and regulatory influences affecting pricing decisions.
  • Monitor market developments and recommend adjustments to pricing strategies accordingly.

Pricing Strategy Development:


  • Collaborate with product management, sales, and finance teams to develop pricing strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Utilize pricing models and analytics to determine optimal pricing structures for products or services.
  • Segment markets and customer groups to tailor pricing strategies based on value perception, demand elasticity, and competitive positioning.

Price Optimization:


  • Evaluate historical pricing data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for price optimization.
  • Conduct pricing experiments and simulations to assess the impact of price changes on revenue and market share.
  • Implement dynamic pricing mechanisms and promotional strategies to drive sales and mitigate pricing risks.

Competitive Analysis:


  • Analyze competitor pricing strategies, product offerings, and positioning to assess market dynamics and inform pricing decisions.
  • Benchmark company pricing against industry standards and identify areas for competitive advantage.
  • Develop pricing intelligence frameworks to track competitor pricing movements and anticipate market shifts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:


  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer feedback, pricing negotiations, and market demand signals.
  • Work closely with marketing teams to align pricing strategies with promotional campaigns, product launches, and brand positioning.
  • Partner with finance teams to evaluate pricing impacts on revenue forecasts, margin targets, and profitability goals.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Pricing Strategy Professional) preferred.
  • Proven experience in pricing analysis, market research, or related quantitative fields.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools, financial modeling, and data visualization software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate pricing recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detailoriented with a strategic mindset and the ability to think critically about pricing challenges and opportunities.
  • Experience working in crossfunctional teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders
