1. Job Overview

  • Value Plus is Amcor's global commercial excellence operating model designed to drive customer and market focus, and develop best in class sales and marketing capabilities.

As a Commercial Finance Leader, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Commercial Finance process in the Business Unit (BU), which include pricing policies, customer quotations and tenders, monitoring costs inflation and determine price pass through needs, control and implementation of Price Adjustment Formulas (PAF)/ Trackers for contract customers, active support for business growth Capex and responsibility on price posting in the ERP's.

This role is a key enabler to Amcor's Value Plus model.

The Commercial Finance Leader acts as well as a margin gatekeeper, ensuring there are processes in place to analyze and identify margin improvement opportunities.

This role will span over the term listed below and will be a critical enabler for growth and profitability for Amcor Flexibles Latin America (AFLA)


2. Job Dimensions

  • Job will occur mainly in the office, with sporadic travels to plants and customer visits
  • Work is to be managed through Amcor's tools such as Flexicalc for costs precalculation, Salesforce (SFDC), Pocket Margin Database (PMDB), management of Raw Material indexes shared by procurement, business case templates and other tools
  • This role currently has 2 direct reports (could include direct report secondments)

3. Principal Accountabilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Principle architecture and deployment of pricing policies, procedures and systems for Mexico.
  • Lead Mexico's Commercial Finance team
  • Prepare and present customerrelated precalculations based on requests from Sales. Prepare costing in close alignment on feasibility with production / production controlling
  • Produce pricing for customer's quotations and tenders.
  • In collaboration with Sales and Commercial Excellence teams provide value pricing to customers, guaranteeing revenue growth with profitability
  • Support the Sales team in business cases and tenders with key customers. From time to time, support complex business cases and Capital Expenditure project
  • Maintain and develop BU key metrics and KPI's to ensure customer satisfaction and continued profitable growth
  • Initiate appropriate process improvements such as standard price lists to streamline the efforts related to costing and calculations
  • Track raw material, labour, energy, inflation and other costs movements based on the process designed by procurement and initiate appropriate recovery actions
  • Continuously develop commercial approach to management of raw material cost risks and opportunities, such as raw material tracker/ price adjustment formulas by customers
  • Design and manage customer Price Adjustment Formulas (PAF)/ Tracker, guaranteeing buy side/ sell side alignment in order to maintain contracts profitability. Make sure implementations are made on time and in full
  • Monitor key customer/ product profitability and work with plant and sales teams to define corrective actions to drive profitability, including efforts to reduce cost in collaboration with other departments and involvement in PMDB reviews/analysis
