Overview

  • This position is responsible for managing key accounts in the liquor segment of our business and for proactively and systematically developing new business that adds value to the diversified products division.
  • Essential Functions
  • Proactively seek and develop new business opportunities
  • Identify comprehensive understanding of customer needs both long term and short term and identify key buying factors beyond purchasing
  • Assess account opportunities, account trends and define aspirations
  • Identify key decision makers and influencers beyond purchasing and craft relationship plan
  • Build partnership across customer organization allowing both parties to extract value
  • Conduct systematic performance reviews with key customers
  • Identify and drive actions to improve bottomline
  • Assess account economics and assess opportunities to cover leakages
  • Develop and maintain action plan for how key account will achieve targets, identify specific actions to improve earnings
  • Develop joint business plan
  • Develop and execute negotiations
  • Develop quantified value selling arguments
  • Develop negotiation arguments
  • Manage negotiation planning
  • Execute negotiations either independently or as member of a team
  • Lead crossfunctional team to coordinate information flow and action planning to meet customer needs
  • Create collaborative customer/supplier CI teams
  • Identify and align resources required to execute
  • Key Performance Indicators
  • Customer survey results
  • Account Pocket Margin (total and %) includes leakage reduction
  • Amcor's service performance for the account

  • Experience/Skills Required
  • 57 years of successful sales experience, preferably in packaging, working with large, national accounts
  • Business knowledge

  • Ability to develop a sales plan and execute it
  • PET and general plastics technical knowledge preferred

  • Education Required
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • MBA preferred.
