Responsibilities:
The Bruker Mexicana SA de CV Team has an immediate opening for an Import/Export Coordinator at the Company office located in in México City, Mexico.
Primarily includes preparation of export documents and booking/tracking shipments with freight forwarders and expediting inbound shipments with our customs broker/carriers to meet production requirements.
- Coordinate daily shipment activity with order processing, customer service, and shipping.
- Review orders to assure all items have been classified per the EAR and ITAR.
- Prepare export documents: Commercial invoice, Packing List, SLI and C/O etc.
- Enter export information in SAE as required.
- Perform restricted screening on all orders.
- Book shipments with freight forwarders and promptly communicate tracking information.
- File all export related documents on the share drive for quick access.
- Expedite import shipments with customs broker/carriers.
- Enter classification information in the ERP system: SAE, Contpaq.
- Code freight invoices for payment.
- Create and maintain import/export reports.
- Assist internal departments with resolution of import/export related issues.
- Work on audits and special projects
- Respond to miscellaneous requests from the Warehouse such as partially filled containers or receiving of damaged goods.
- Generate monthly Period Balances for reconciliation purposes in Integration Point.
- Enter all new material numbers into Integration Point and maintain/delete obsolete material numbers in system program.
- Local and international purchases, place purchase orders, Inventory control (Physical, inputs, outputs, etc.)
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To accomplish these tasks successful practical experience with up-to-date knowledge of MEX custom regulations and familiarization with common international shipment processes are essential.
- Associate's degree in international logistics or similar discipline.
- Knowledge of HTSUS, Customs Regulations, EAR, Incoterms 2010.
- 3 + years' experience in import/export compliance and documentation for a manufacturing facility or freight forwarder.
- Experience processing shipments in FedEx Ship Manager and DHL EasyShip
- Ability to satisfactorily complete position training requirements.
