Reporting to the Community Affairs Management, this position will be responsible for the implementation of the Social Strategy for Access to Water will have experience in the Area of Influence and the project region, as well as technical knowledge and experience in the implementation and monitoring of initiatives that combine social and cultural, technical, administrative and environmental aspects, appropriate for the achievement of the actions, from a broad approach around the water.


Responsibilities:


  • To be a courageous safety leader, who adheres to and sponsors safety standards and procedures in all health, education, water care, and environmental contexts.
  • Make courageous decisions to stop or defer work if they feel that safety conditions are unsatisfactory.
  • Promote a culture of safety and incident reporting immediately when they may occur.
  • Generate early key relationships with identified community actors and leaders, including those adverse to the project, to establish links and manage real or perceived social expectations and risks that could potentially arise.
  • Work aligned with the policies, protocols, and standards of the Project and that these are duly applied in all activities. Pay special attention to Health and Safety policies; Human rights; and Anti-Corruption, among others.
  • Participate in the Unified Management System according to the assignments received.
  • Coordinate the implementation of the program
  • Prepare progress reports
  • Train and monitor of staff activities
  • Inspection and registration of activities and followup to logs
  • Communication and dialogue with the communities involved
  • Communication and dialogue with the Drinking Water Departments of the municipalities involved
  • Supervision of suppliers and contractors
  • Supervision of the monitoring and maintenance plan

Qualifications:


  • Minimum experience of 58 years in the field of water management, community relations, and social management.
  • Specialization in engineering, social sciences, environmental sciences, sustainability, or other fields related to water management.
  • Master's /doctoral studies in areas related to water culture are desirable.
  • Experience in human rights and water management.
  • Knowledge of the water problems and the socioeconomic, historical, and cultural environment of the Zacatecan semidesert and the central table of Mexico.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Technical communication in Spanish and English.
  • Leadership and teamwork.
  • Office parcel management (Database analysis, ArcGis).
