Test Solution Engineer

Looking for innovative, out of the box thinking Design For Test (DFT) Engineers to be a part of the Solutions Engineering Team under the Hardware Analytics and Test (HAT) Group at Synopsys.

The HAT Group is a critical part of the change delivering a complete DFT solution to fulfill the customer needs.

The Solutions engineer works in a projectoriented environment to deliver DFT Solutions ranging from Integration to Silicon Bringup to customers designing digital ICs of varying complexity. The DFT Solutions engineer interacts with the customers to assess their methodologies and flows, gather requirements and propose solutions. The Test Solution Engineer provides technical support to ensure customer success, win new customers through product demonstrations, evaluations, and competitive benchmarking. Test Solution Engineer is expected to support customers through technical problem resolution, training and account management. They must be able to interact effectively with endusers at customer sites, as well as with first level managers.
The Solutions engineer is also is responsible for working with the Automation Teams to develop and productize the next gen Test Technologies. The role would also involve analyze gathered data, identify the viability of the technology, prototyping new methodologies, and present the findings.
Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Provide expertise for test solutions during design planning/budgeting/implementing
Test methodology design rules checking during RTL coding stages
DFT implementation and validation : scan compression, core wrapping, logic & memory Built-In Self-Test (BIST), test points, etc.
Automatic Test Pattern Generation (ATPG), advanced fault models (transition delay, cellaware, bridging, etc.) and pattern validation
Participation in customer's design and flow reviews;
Diagnostics analysis and debug;
Drive, Prototype & Develop new Design for Test methodologies.
Ability to multitask across many issues and priorities, and the desire to help customers exploit new technologies are essential for success in the position

Qualification - Grade 6- BS + 3 years of relevant experience or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or other relevant field of study.

Coursework/Experience in RTL Coding, VLSI Design, Digital Design is necessary
Coursework/Experience in DFT Insertion, ATPG, Validation, Pattern generation & Silicon Bringup would be preferred
Good understanding of LBIST, MBIST, 1500, 168
Excellent soft skills
