In this position you will be part of the Global Experience Design Group, a cross-disciplinary team passionate about delivering product innovation through bringing customer experience to the forefront of business strategy, using human-centered techniques and strong cohesion with our partners, to simplify the human connection with science to enable a better world by following the pillars of empathy, simplicity, and excellence.

As an experienced UX developer in our group, you will serve as a technical leader to help us make our Komodo Design System, Core UI, come to life in code, building positive relationships with multi-functional team members and business partners to drive the delivery of breakthrough experiences pushing our design system to the limit and expand it beyond the web and across native platforms and devices and use your knowledge to bridge the gaps between designers and engineers.


How will you get here?
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred.


What will you do?

  • You will build modular, performant, and accessible components and patterns in close collaboration with the Core UX Design team.
  • Lead the infrastructure that Komodo uses to serve customers, deploy code, integrate with products, deliver documentation, and manage change in the codebase.
  • Establish global standards to ensure consistency across all software products and processes that help designers and engineers understand each other.
  • Lead change, including programs that improve developer efficiency and reduce time to market.
  • Build service layer coding standard and the best course of action.
  • Assist product leads in defining new features and translating technical requirements, communicating status and open issues.
  • Participate in production deployment providing assistance as needed.
  • Prototype and develop new ideas and participate in all parts of the lifecycle from research to release.
  • You will independently learn new technologies and be involved with identifying and resolving elaborated problems.

Experience

  • 5+ years of professional frontend development around the user experience following the newest technologies and practices.
  • Proficient in a broad range of software design approaches and well established UX patterns
  • Familiarity with responsive layout and mobilefirstoriented implementations, accessibility, and user interactions
  • Advanced understanding of JavaScript frameworks with frontend development tools (e.g., React, Angular, Ember, , etc.) and the latest web architectures and asynchronous servicetoservice communication and API management.
  • Experience with any CSSpreprocessor (e.g., Sass or Less)
  • Experience handling humanreadable dataserialization language (e.g., YAML, JSON)
  • Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub actions), continuous delivery infrastructure, and version control system

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Familiarity developing within Enterprise Content Management Systems
  • Experience working within an Agile and Scrumbased development model.
  • Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent teammate with strong verbal & written communication skills
