Junior Model-Based Controls Engineer to join our team.

Basic Duties & Responsibilities

Confirm that new software features integrate with control system to meet functionality requirements
Controls and model requirements definition, controls architecting, design, analysis, implementation, and verification using MIL, SIL, and HIL techniques consistent with design requirements
Design and provide technical documents for the developed controls
Designing, modeling, and integrating software functionalities in a realtime embedded environment
Develop & analyze requirements
Develop controls solutions using the MBD technique
Ensure process compliance and configuration management
Exercise creative thinking and ideation to advance performance
Follow common problemsolving techniques, such as 5 why's, fishbone, etc.]
Participate in software reviews
Provide technical support, guidance, and collaboration for all software/ hardware implementation
Work with product development teams to design and develop control algorithms

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in mechanical, electrical or computer engineering plus coursework/projects or work experience in modelbased controls
Ability to decipher highly technical data
Knowledge and capability in software such as MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow, and LabVIEW
Modelling/Simulation skills.
Exposure to UML and architectures.
Knowledge of at least one scripting language
Understanding of communication protocol
Understanding of control systems in automotive or medical devices
Understanding of HIL systems
User level knowledge and capability of at least one calibration tool
User level knowledge and capability of at least one standard code editor
User level knowledge and capability of fixed point & double precision data types usage, autocode generation impact
User level knowledge and capability of MBD design guidelines
User level knowledge and capability of Version Control/Requirements Management software
Ability to multitask in an everchanging time intensive work environment
