- Ensure the Quality of the measurements in the laboratories of physicochemical and microbiological analysis, through training, support, validation of the execution of analysis and decision-making of personnel, as well as, the validation of equipment, execution of the Non-Conforming Product protocol and Microbiological Program in each of the plant areas of the Savory, Biscuit, Food and Confectionary (LATAM) business units, for national and export products.
- Define the roles and responsibilities of laboratory facilitators and analysts of physicochemical and microbiological laboratories.
- Validate the quality of products along the value chain (suppliers, maquiladores, production lines, raw and semi-finished warehouses, finished product warehouses and consumers), through physicochemical and microbiological analyzes of raw materials, product intermediate, finished product, environmental sampling, process water analysis, personnel sampling, transportation, packaging, equipment and utensils. Following the corresponding Non-Compliant Product detected by the laboratory.
- Ensure the execution of the Global PEM (Pathogen Environmental Microbiology program), trend analysis and corrective actions coordinated with LatAm operations for own plants and CoMans.
- Continuity for the implementation of the Global microbiological analysis program in sensitive ingredients.
- Coordinate the Global cleaning and sanitation program as well as the validation of cleaning protocols.
- Develop and support sampling plans and physicochemical and microbiological analysis.
- Standardize the physicochemical and microbiological analysis laboratories according to the national regulation in each region of LATAM.
- Validation of water reuse processes.
- Ensure compliance with the requirements for laboratories established by FSMA and FSSC 22000.
- Detect the service and analytical needs of the laboratories that are in the plants of all the Business Units, in order to define:
- Technical capacity of suppliers for calibration and maintenance of measuring equipment.
- Technical capacity of suppliers for the purchase of reagents and laboratory equipment.
- Establish priorities for the purchase of national Capex equipment based on the needs of each plant.
- Ensure compliance with microbiological specifications, generation of COA's, release in time and form of export products.
- Support physicochemical and microbiological analysis to:
- Pre-shipment samples.
- Microbiological program for plant pathogens.
- In the innovation projects of all Business Units.
- In rejections as a third party laboratory.
- Process water analysis based on the national regulation of each region and the World Health Organization.
- Generate, implement and keep updated the documentary system of each of the laboratories of the plants of all the Business Units in LATAM.
- Establish the guidelines, implement, validate the execution in a timely manner, as well as follow up the corrective actions generated for each of the Central Laboratory programs:
- Participants of Inter Laboratory Tests (PIL).

- Water reuse in potato and corn lines.

- Follow up on the implementation of new methodologies by analytical R&D and Food Safety, ensuring continuity in the correct execution of these methodologies.
- Support in:
- The validation of new methodologies to R&D Food Safety.
- The reception, analysis, document system and storage of Flavor Heart and Finished Flavor.
- Generation and update of risk analysis throughout the entire value chain.
- Validation of the microbiological quality of the food in the dining rooms of the plants of all the Business Units.
- Sampling Plan Definitions.
- Corn collection centers in physicochemical analysis and mycotoxins.
- Monitoring of suppliers in conjunction with the SQA area.
- Career ended, QBP, IBQ, Q or Food Ing.
- 5 years experience in similar position and/or areas of Quality Control or Process.
- Advanced english level.
- Analytical skills, creativity, proactivity, good personal relationships, teamwork, good service concept, people management, leadership, negotiation skills and decision making.
- Knowledge in metrology, laboratory operations, system quality, food safety, HACCP, sampling protocols, experimental design, traceability, general chemistry, chemical quantitative analytical, chemistry qualitative analytical, statistical process control, food microbiology, computer skills (word, excel, power point, outlook) intermediate-advanced, good laboratory practice and manufacturing.
