  • Currently we are looking for our next:

Microbiology Lab Management - Analyst (FSQA)

Which is the main objective of this role?


This role will provide microbiology support for all new innovations, brand stewardship and supply chain projects across categories (Foods and Beverages), it will be responsible for coordinate all management process at BCIC Micro Lab.

This position shall ensure compliance for other specific Global and Regional FSQA Programs and will support the Audit Management programs


What will you be doing?

  • Laboratory management process (incomings, maintenance, equipment calibration, etc). Ensure microbiology programs compliance, results driven.
  • Monitor and measure performance of PepsiCo Laboratory
  • Provide microbiology guidance for new projects and programs within R&D and Ops teams to elevate microbiology awareness.
  • Implementation and validation for new micro methodologies. Work in collaboration with Regional and Global Groups.
  • Support sanitation and process validation for high
- risk ingredients to provide accurate microbiology input to R&D, and Ops according to Global standards and Food safety Mandates.

  • Update and upload paperwork (ie. Microbiology methods).
  • Ensure all requests are processed, documented, and delivered within defined project timeline
  • Identify potential areas for process improvements to make recommendations to R&D and Ops for continuous improvement
  • Network closely with cross functional partners with R&D, Operations and new FSQA organization supporting microbiology and audit systems and programs. Identify quality systems and tools.

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

  • Microbiology/ Food Science Engineer / Chemical Engineer / Food Chemistry / Food Technology. Degree.
  • Competency shall be demonstrated through proficiency testing programs
  • Good understanding of Quality Audit systems for Food Industry i.e. GFSI, AIBI, CAPA.
  • Good understanding of Quality Assurance/ Food Safety concepts and good working knowledge of food microbiology, food allergens, physical and chemical hazards.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Collaborative skills and strong interest in working with others across time zones; Ability to build relationships and work closely with both internal and external partners
  • Good communication skills oral and written
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure managing multiple time bound assignments.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish. Portuguese desirable.
  • Ability to manage time effectively across multiple priorities and projects requiring a high degree of organizational and communication skills to ensure requests are delivered in a timely manner
  • Exceptional data organizational and problemsolving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Selfmotivated & demonstrated ability to take initiative on projects
  • 23 year of experience relevant experience requiredin a CPG company and or specifications management space
