Import - Export department purpose is to deliver shipments and certificates of origin on time, in the right place, at appropriate cost in compliance with applicable regulations for TLG companies in Mexico to support TLG strategy.

Current companies supported are Constructional Toys production site, Molds production site, a real estate company, sales company, and e-commerce operations.


This role is key to secure that the Monterrey Manufacturing site, Molds Manufacturing Site and Distribution Centers in Mexico for Retail and E-Commerce receives keep Import-Export operations, succeed in Internal and External Audits from Authorities.


Core Responsibilities

  • The purpose of this position is to secure Import-Export operations and successful internal and external International Commerce Audits for TLG companies in Mexico, thought strong internal (national and international) and external partners' management, solid understanding of Import-Export regulations and functional knowledge having in mind authorities' requirements, internal expectations and securing the principles of a learning department. This allows the business to keep a Good Corporate Reputation for LOM Manufacturing site, LRE, LME, with authorities.
  • Secure a detailed follow up to International Commerce regulatory modifications, implementation into operations and documentation with a process, simplification and automation approach though official communication from authorities, associations and consultants, collaboration with internal partners and Import-Export team members and securing learning and capabilities creation to maintain operations
- you are responsible for successful Audits though leading and providing the required information, documentation and explanations timely to the auditors with a critical thinking, taking findings and secure actions when needed.

  • Driving International Commerce Programs and Certifications Maintenance, such IMMEX, PROSEC, AEO, IVA-IEPS, etc., through taking appropriate process actions, generating and providing correct and timely information to the authorities or internal partners, and acting as leader for AEO Certification in the Manufacturing site.
  • Facilitate that compliance processes have a multidisciplinary and Endto
  • End approach and are documented according to IMS principles using TLG Tools.
  • This role is Responsible for maintaining and improving IMS and LCI behaviors in a high level, acting as driver, engaging to the team to participate and maintain a systematic way of working.
  • Be ready to act as back up in other positions in the department to ensure that operations continuity.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Foreign Trade and Customs, International Commerce or similar.
  • MBA desirable.
  • Highly desirable certifications in Customs Compliance and related regulation such C-TPAT, AEO, IVA-IEPS, IMMEX, PROSEC, International Trade Rules, Free Trade Agreements or strong functional knowledge.
  • Highly desirable certified in CTPAT and AEO as auditor or with field training plus theoretical knowledge
  • Proven experience working in IMMEX, PROSEC, CTPAT, AEO and VAT-IEPS companies in similar position.
  • Demonstrated ability working in International Commerce Advisors agencies providing advice to IMMEX, PROCSEC, AEO, IVA-IEPS certified companies importing and exporting to several regions in the world.
  • Knowledge of Mexican International Trade Law, Mexican Customs Law, Customs Rules,
  • Knowledge and experience working with AEO, CTPAT, VAT-IEPS Certification.
  • Use of annex 24 software and use of SAP or equivalent.
  • Ability to teach others, with proven record of training people successful.
  • Ability to structure, coordinate and synthesize information, to facilitate prioritization of activities.
  • Need for international traveling (approx. 1 a year).
