SG&A Analyst

Summary


Position provides detailed analytical support in the coordination, consolidation, analysis, and forecasting of SG&A Discreationary Expenses, HC & S&B Cost, maintaining annual Plan/Outlook/Business Update/Strategic, BU's, plan models and corresponding output.

Assist in modeling and presentation materials adding consistency in analysis and reporting. Support the functions efforts and assist in maintaining and improving financial models.

This position will provide people cost analytical support to various areas in controlling spendings, analyzing variances, challenging assumptions and prepares various reports/analysis on a periodic basis.

Accuracy and thoroughness is required of this position to meet Company financial commitments and objectives. Documentation of Personnel planning processes and procedures, Coordination of planning and communicating the calendar.

These tasks are performed under the supervision of the Finance Planning Supervisor.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible to excecution and maintenance of Personel Cost (Hsy Employees & Contractors) Annual Plan, Business Update, Outlook and Strategic Plan financial models. Support the consolidation, analysis, challenging and forecasting of financial data in order to generate reports, analytics and information used by the organization in decision making for all Company Areas. Accuracy and thoroughness of all these estimates are critical in order for the Company to meet its financial commitments and objectives.
  • Effective planning requires an indepth understanding of key business systems and processes, excellent communication skills, and knowledge of accounting/reporting trends. Suggest and implement improvements in the planning systems and processes to generate more accurate and timely data. Assist in the preparation of materials for Management presentations.
  • Validate, control & report of SG&A Discreationary Expenses. Reviews and challenges the SG&A/HC/S&B Budget from finance planners in order to ensure Budget control.
  • Consolidates and provides analytics insights to Mgr Treasury & Planning and Director for Plan/Outlook/BU's forecast and actuals. Generates & proposes improvements for position and processes in order to achieve efficiencies in time & budget.
  • Responsible to attend the Corporate HC planning process according with Corporate Rules, including Division Expenses, Common Cost & Below The Line
  • Monitor and maintain budgets for Cost Centers update, including SG&A, Common Cost, Cost Below The Line
  • Investment, analysis & support for Caja de Ahorro, Saving Found and Pension Plan for Hershey Mexico.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Working knowledge of SAP modules
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability and aptitude to work with technical aspects of financial information systems.
  • Good understanding of Hershey business processes
  • Strong knowledge in Benefits Cost Calculation and Taxes.
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze financial data and solve problems in a dynamic environment
  • Independent self starter with the ability to produce accurate results under time pressures; work within a team

Education

_ _Bachelors Degree with Business Administration, Finance or Accounting emphasis
