General:

Responsabilidades:


  • Responsible for terminal/warehouse operations, inventory, and execution of day to day logistics activities ensuring on time shipment and on time delivery to the customer.
  • Position will be responsible for day to day management of logistics activities, resolving any escalated issues relating to transportation delays, equipment challenges or other issues impacting on time delivery to the customer as well as Freight Forwarder services and carrier performance on a regional basis.
  • This position will interface with their counterparts in planning, customer service, and logistics leadership in other regions to develop and manage business processes that meet productivity and quality metrics. Responsible for managing a seamless ordertodeliver process resulting in excellent customer service in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee processes which coordinate regional shipment and traffic processes at third party distribution centers to ensure on time delivery to customer.
  • Act as primary liaison with Freight Forwarders/Carriers for operational issues and performance management.
  • Ensure adherence to all Safety and Compliance written standard operating procedures and controls, trade compliance, customs compliance, transportation and logistics regulations, Sarbanes Oxley, Dangerous Goods regulations, Responsible Care and ISO 9000.
  • Oversee resolution management processes and determine effectiveness related to accidents, returns, insurance issues, quantity differences and any other customer or compliance impacting issue.
  • Maintain scorecards with metrics for internal process performance
- with focus on On time delivery, reduction of obsolete/damage material, returns, cost saving projects.

  • Ensure adherence to defined operational escalation process to leads, regional experts and plant personnel when unforeseen delays in shipping from plant and delivery to customer are encountered.
  • Investigate failures and develop process changes to address "routine" failures.
  • Cooperate with Logistics Procurement for contract negotiations (terminals, carriers, service providers).
  • Participate in vendor visits and negotiations maintaining good relations with 3rd parties (external shipping points, terminals and service providers) to ensure quick interaction when escalation is needed.
  • Participate in quarterly meetings with carriers, terminal operators and 3rd party providers on improvements, new ideas, new technology, new methods and to resolve interdepartmental issues.
  • Recommend process improvement including investigation of quality failures and the development of preventive and corrective actions for quality failures.
  • Participate in SOX selfassessments as required (monthly, quarterly and annually) as well as ISO and IATF.
  • Work with global planning to adjust material receipts as needed to avoid high inventory levels when demand change."

Competencias:

  • Bachelor's degree in any the following fields: Administration, Foreign Trade/Commerce, Logistics, Industrial Engineering.
  • 1 year of experience in supply chain ( Logistics / Warehouse )
  • Advanced level of English language required.
  • ISO 9001 knowledge required.
  • IATF 16949 knowledge desired.
  • SAP System experience required
