Sr. Financial Analyst

This role has been designated as 'Edge', which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.

The Networking as a Service (NaaS) Finance team is responsible for directly supporting Aruba pursuit teams in the financial strategy, financial evaluation, risk assessment, pricing, and negotiation required to win large profitable NaaS engagements.

Senior Financial Analysts are expected to maintain independence in all financial matters related to the engagements and ensure that management approvers have a full and open view of the relevant facts and assumptions underlying the engagement's financial plan.


How you will make your mark:

  • Review deal structure, pricing, and margin/CF for custom SMB GreenLake for Aruba/NaaS opportunities and document financial assumptions for Management approval
  • Evaluate SOW and opportunity assumptions against ASC 606 and analyze cost structures to recommend pricing strategies and accounting treatment
  • Establish effective working relationships as a financial advisor to the NaaS Presales/Sales/Pricing teams
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Tax, and Rev Rec teams to address risks in solutions, propose mitigation, and complete required checklists
  • Provide Finance support for ongoing deals and system initiatives
  • Support the monthly revenue forecasting/budgeting process by analyzing trends/variances and ensuring alignment with business
- and corporate-wide objectives

  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and policy development and engages in the design

About you:


  • University degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) strongly preferred
  • Typically 6+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, pricing, rev rec
  • Typically experienced in a variety of finance functions
  • Excellent business acumen, project management, and analytical skills
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, revenue recognition, and financial analysis
  • Superior communication, teamwork, and problemsolving skills
  • Thrives in a dynamic environment and independently seeking information
