This position involves handling business specific tasks for either a dedicated division or multiple divisions.

You will also be seen as a specialist in the particular business area you are assigned to and will be in charge of accounting duties.

Your main responsibility is to ensure top-notch service is provided to key business partners and groups through effective teamwork and collaboration with your colleagues and business partners, offering support and guidance on complex issues as an expert within the team.

The General Accountant will be responsible for collecting, processing, and delivering accurate, relevant, and timely information for strategic, financial, and operational feedback to the business.

You will also be tasked with supporting the annual audit process and ensuring all procedures are followed.

It's essential to comply with all company policies, carry out specific duties within set deadlines, and provide an excellent level of service to all customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis
    • Prepare, reconcile, and analyze monthly management reports, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet;
    • Perform various balance sheet reconciliations;
    • Analyze tax accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll records;
    • Handle journal entries and balance bindings;
    • Assist in month-end closing;
    • Prepare analytical schedules and integrate balance sheet and results accounts;
    • Analyze financial information and generate action plans;
    • Work on budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting;
  • Audit, Controls & Compliance
    • Provide information for internal and external audits;
    • Maintain accounting controls in compliance with company policies;
    • Review internal control matrix and ensure accuracy;
    • Assist in statutory obligations and tax compliance;
  • Process Improvement
    • Identify opportunities for improvements in accounting functions;
    • Implement best practices for efficiency;
  • People Management Responsibilities
    • Ensure colleague well-being;
    • Collaborate across teams;
    • Act as a role model;
    • Provide support to team members;
