Job Description:


As a Senior Quality Engineer at Turnitin, you will be responsible for implementing and executing test plans for our suite of products throughout the software lifecycle.

You will work collaboratively with Agile teams, develop quality assurance standards, expand test case and test automation coverage, and mentor fellow teammates.

Your tasks will include publishing test results, triaging bugs, composing acceptance criteria, and ensuring the highest quality standards.

  • Define, develop, and implement quality assurance best practices and procedures
  • Participate in functional, regression, integration, and scale testing
  • Provide inprocess testing results to the team
  • Design, write, execute, and maintain automated and manual tests
  • Enhance unit and integration tests
  • Analyze and fix issues reported by users
  • Triage and track defects, and verify their fixes
  • Contribute to major code releases
  • Participate in code review process
  • Stay updated with new testing tools and strategies

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of frontend test automation best practices and tools
  • Experience working collaboratively with Agile teams
  • Expertise in JAVA development and framework creation
  • Experience integrating automated testing with continuous integration tools
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience testing web services/APIs
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proactive working style with the ability to adapt to change
  • High proficiency in English
