About our client

Our client is an investment management company focused on lodging real estate investments in Mexico with properties in the broader Caribbean region.

The company is sponsored by a private equity manager committed to building best-in-class real estate platforms in Mexico of industrial, retail, residential, hotel, and multifamily properties.

The position is based in Mexico City.

What the job involves

Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual financial statements analyses and reports.
Manage the monthly financial report consolidation process
Assist with the preparation and monitoring budgets, forecasts and projections
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
Assist with annual audit preparations
Take ownership in the investigation and resolution of audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of noncompliance
Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures
Review accounting records of subsidiaries and affiliates
Maintain accurate controls of asset depreciation, construction in progress and Capex projects of properties under management.

Who we are looking for

Solid experience in accounting/audit, and/or real estate/hospitality private equity or hotel management company.
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations and GAAP.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related.
English full professional proficiency.
Strong analytical, management and number skills.
Willingness to travel 2040% of the time.
