Supplier Quality Engineer

• Manged all 100+ suppliers and made sure they all were providing the highest level of quality we agreed upon.

• Implemented Six Sigma idealogy to the lighting industry and drastically improved the company’s overall quality.

• I was actively involved in product development and testing when improving the design of certain products.

Supplier Quality Engineer:

• Managed my suppliers and made sure they provided a sound root cause and effective CM to all the supplier defects they gave us.

• Drastically increased quality of my suppliers making sure they all reached Six Sigma level of quality and maintain it.

• Worked with suppliers to implement key design changes to not only increase quality but also save money.

• SME in Powdered Metal Manufacturing and have trained my whole department on this topic.

• Ability to measure parts with any measurement device. These include but are not limited to Micrometers, Ziess CMM, Mitutoyo Surftest, Mitutoyo Contrace machine, Trimos height stand, OSK, ATOS scanning, and many more.

• Lead a project that would effectively and permanently countermeasure major gaps in our systems. This project saved the company millions of dollars in just a course of a couple of years.

• Coordinated with the Delivery Department to make sure that replacement parts were delivered to the line on time during sorts.

• Trained my department on how to use Minitab so that we could ensure that our suppliers have good Cpk and Ppk.

• Aquired deep understanding of magnets and their properties as well as deep understanding of electrical sensors.

Supplier Quality Engineering Co-op:              

• Worked with the Supplier Quality Engineering group at Emerson analyzing data using Minitab. Also coordinated with their suppliers to analyze their manufacturing practices to help improve the supplier’squality and capability.

• Visited Emerson’s suppliers to perform audits on their processes using my own checklist I created and implemented. Today at Emerson the Supplier Quality Engineers use this checklist and will continue to use itinto the future.

• During supplier visits I toured their manufacturing facilities understanding their processes, quality systems, and layout. Because of this I gained insight on manufacturing processes across a wide range of different fields.

Bike Boosters                                                                                       Darien, IL                            April 2016-August 2017

Engineering Intern:              

• Co-created a startup business retrofitting bikes with electric motors and was responsible for learning all aspects of the business. I also used myknowledge of Industrial Engineering to make bikes in only 1 day instead of 1 week.

• Worked on the design aspect of the bike on SolidWorks to design a 3D printed model. We used this 3D printed model to hold the wires and LCD screen of the bike.

• Learned how to program the Arduino and use code to control the electric motor. This program also read the torque reading from the torque sensor to send power to the bike at elevated inclines.
