Exciting Opportunity:
Material Planner at Alstom in Cd. Sahagun, Hidalgo


(18-month temporary position)

Purpose of the Position:


Join Alstom's dynamic team and make an impact by ensuring timely delivery of goods from our suppliers, both internal and external, while optimizing supply chain processes.

Play a pivotal role in supplier governance, enhance delivery performances, and collaborate with our procurement experts to integrate contracts seamlessly into our ERP system.


Your Main Responsibilities:


  • Oversee material planning for both internal and external suppliers.
  • Ensure accurate material planning data in compliance with logistics constraints.
  • Facilitate and maintain communications with suppliers, reviewing delivery statuses and performance.
  • Handle MRP exceptions, identify potential supply issues, and orchestrate effective solutions.
  • Collaborate across the board to assess supplier capabilities, contribute to risk assessments, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Champion Alstom's EHS and ethical policies, working towards the continuous improvement of our processes.

Who Are We Looking For:


  • Holders of a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering/Administration or related fields.
  • Individuals with 2+ years of experience in ERP, supply chain concepts, and process enhancement.
  • Familiarity with SAP is a definite plus.
  • Proficient in English (intermediate spoken level).

Key Competencies & Skills:


  • Mastery of materials requirements planning and inventory management.
  • Expertise in supplier delivery performance management.
  • A solid grounding in industrial scheduling, transport & distribution.
  • Proficiency in supply chain information systems, data analytics, and procurement.
  • Strong grasp of project management basics.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit paired with agility and an innate ability to collaborate.
