The main responsibilities are:

• Develop and implement strategic plans for the materials management function to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, production, and logistics, to optimize the supply chain.
• Oversee the management of inventory levels to ensure an adequate supply of materials while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
• Implement inventory control measures to enhance accuracy and reduce carrying costs.
• Utilize technology and systems to track and analyze inventory levels.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply of materials.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and agreements with suppliers to optimize costs and ensure quality standards are met.
• Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvements as necessary.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within the materials management function.

A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, engineering, or a related field, with experience in materials management, procurement, or supply chain roles for about 7-10 years. Proficient materials management software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Knowledge of systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms is preferred.
