ROLE SUMMARY:


  • With more than 1,800 students, The American Institute of Monterrey (AIM), an Inspired school, currently has 3 campuses in Monterrey's metropolitan area: 2 campuses in San Pedro and 1 campus in Santa Catarina.
  • Valle Oriente Campus provides full services from Prenursery through 9th grade.
  • San Pedro Campus provides services from Prenursery through 5th grade.
  • AIM Preparatory School offers 6th through 12th grades.
  • The AIM has become a successful institution by aiming for excellence permanently since its foundation in 1968. For more than 50 years, AIM has been one of the most renowned privatebilingual schools in Mexico, assuring a quality prenursery through 9th grade education in an international context, while on 2017 the High School program (10th. through 12th. grades) was launched. The AIM is globally recognized for its high academic standing, its educational innovations, its updated technological resources, its values and leadership programs, as well as for the high performance of our students in sports.
  • Our spiral and transdisciplinary curriculum, coupled with a healthy degree of student choice and accountability, pursues that our students develop and attain mastery of the 21st century skills through the development of Authentic Products and Services that have a positive impact in their community. This Authentic Products and Services are developed during students' specialized Academy classes in Engineering and Technology, Laboratory and Research, Business and Management as well as Arts and Humanities.
  • The key purpose of this position is to assure that the educational environment supports learning and integral growth of all students through intervention strategies with all departments involved: Directors, Medical, iPal Coaches, Level Coordinators, and Sports and Fine Arts Coordinators

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Evaluate students with socioemotional problems and reports to Directors, Coordinators, and Academic Support Team.
  • Prepare and follow up intervention strategies and interviews with teachers, parents, coordinators and external student's therapists.
  • Designs and supports antibullying, autocontrol, stress control, etc., programs.
  • Advice and mediate in cases of students, parents and employees crisis.
  • Participates in the implementation of school resources, programs, and activities aimed to develop socioemotional abilities.
  • Maintain constant communication with other schools and civil associations professionals; and participate in seminars, congress, and courses related to educational psychology.
  • Employee training through socioemotional courses, advise or sessions.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:


  • Psychology, Education or Clinical Psychology degree. Master Degree (desirable).
- - five - year experience in private schools.

  • Technology oriented professional.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Advanced English.
