    Job Overview & Responsibilities

    You will be part of a focused international Team that is executing Fit For Purpose (FFP) and Fit For Service (FFS) assessments for customers around the globe. You are in contact with a diverse portfolio of internal and external customers to assist them with the preparation and execution of pipeline inspections, maintenance, and monitoring plans. Furthermore, your main tasks are as follows:

    • Execution of pipeline integrity management studies including FFS and FFP assessments, risk assessments, and life extension projects.
    • Skilled at performing pressure-based integrity assessment to:
      • Volumetric anomalies (metal loss)
      • Planar anomalies (crack-like anomalies)
      • Geometry anomalies (dents, buckles, etc.)
    • Review of external/internal inspection data and make appropriate recommendations based on the findings.
    • Propose solutions for pipeline repair, corrosion monitoring, leak detection, etc.
    • Elaborate and support pipeline corrosion assessment studies.
    • Support Business Development and Key Account Management; preparation of presentations, technical articles, and marketing material, providing input/lead tenders and project proposals.

    Requirements

    A bachelor's or (preferably) a MS degree in the following disciplines:

    • Materials science and engineering
    • Metallurgical and materials engineering

    Extensive professional experience in the application of recommended practices, technical notes, codes, and standards for anomaly assessment in the oil and gas industry such as:

    • ASME B31.8, B31.4
    • DNV RP F101
    • ASME B31G, Modified B31G
    • API 579
    • API 1183
    • PRCI MD 4-9

    Who are we looking for?

    • Engineering education and experience in the field of Pipelines, GIS, Integrity, Risk, Chemical, Mechanical, or equivalent.
    • Basic knowledge about pipeline design and construction, operations, and safety.
    • Experienced with processes about pipeline integrity management including:
      • pipeline standards (for operation, assessment, calculations),
      • integrity calculations (ERF, PSAFE etc.),
      • pipeline services from external parties (route inspection, CP, DCVG, ILI etc.),
      • Knowledge about pipeline legislation,
      • Working with programs such as QGIS, FME, ArcInfo, Mapinfo, AutoCAD, and
      • Practical experience with OGC standards, GIS projections systems and transformations.
    • The ideal candidate has a solid analytical aptitude, loves a technical challenge, is self-motivated yet thrives in a team environment.
    • Speak and write English fluently, knowledge of German or Dutch is an asset.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
      • Ability to travel to customer locations, field projects, and other Company offices required.
    • Well organized and able to manage time to work independently in a task ownership culture.
    • Thrive in a cross-disciplinary team-based environment.
      • Strong work ethic and ability to work calmly under pressure.
    • Project management skills, to take a structured approach and deliver consistent results.
      • Knowledge of Agile is a plus.
