    Oracle Application Support Engineer

    You will be responsible for day-to-day operations for the applications you support, working as part of a larger global team, continuously improving our global enterprise. You will be part of a team that manages ongoing incident detection and resolution, change planning and implementation, and compliance for a portfolio of applications and infrastructure built on a variety of technologies such as SAP, Java, Linux, Microsoft, relational databases, message queuing, AWS cloud services, and more.

    About the Role

    As an Oracle Application Support Engineer you will:

  • Support monthly and quarterly production activities, particularly Accounting and Finance metadata and hierarchy maintenance, ensuring accuracy of financial rollups and reporting
  • Responsible for the continued maintenance of the Chart of
  • Accounts and Finance metadata (and associated mapping) in response to business requests,
  • Maintain documentation, including updates to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Maintain monthly and quarterly documentation and communication related to master data
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and IT developers on small enhancement requests. Translate business requirements to design.
  • Experience with Chart of Accounts master and metadata (values, properties, parenting, hierarchies/rollups) in financial applications (e.g. general ledger, planning, reporting)
  • Experience in Oracle Data Relationship Management (DRM)
  • Familiarity with Accounting and Financial concepts

    • About You:

    You're a fit for the role of Oracle Application Support Engineer if your background includes:

  • Experience with HFM application development and maintenance including understanding Accounting requirements and writing complex Business Rules to accommodate Consolidation requirements for USGAAP, IFRS and Local statutory GAAP spread across multiple geographies.
  • Experience in understanding and troubleshooting Essbase Accounting cubes(Both BSO and ASO).
  • Experience in understanding DRM Chart of Account hierarchies and how it integrates with HFM and Essbase and its impact to overall Consolidation process.
  • Experience with Integrations tools - ODI/FDMEE, Scripting and PL/SQL is a Plus.
  • Thorough understanding of ITIL processes related to incident management, problem management, application life cycle management, operational health management.
  • Advanced English communication skills.
  • To be familiar with modern application architecture and cloud infrastructures like AWS cloud services.
