The pivotal role of Americas Finance Manager at Discova Global, where you will assume leadership of the regional finance function.

Your objectives are to orchestrate a seamless integration of reporting, compliance, and business intelligence services, optimizing cost-effectiveness.

Your primary responsibility will be to consistently deliver precise financial support to business leaders, facilitating sustainable growth and heightened profitability from our destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean.


As the ambassador of financial operations in the Americas, your expertise will be instrumental in navigating intricate landscapes, ensuring financial robustness aligned with overarching organizational objectives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting business leaders in planning, budgeting, and forecasting in both the Americas as well as on a global level.
  • Providing insightful business modeling for both shortterm and longterm initiatives.
  • Collaborating with and address reporting needs of various Discova business units.
  • Offering ideas to enhance business results and productivity.
  • Monitoring business performance, including projects, legal changes, and group structure.
  • Lead and review regional financial and management reporting according to company standards.
  • Communicating risk control, compliance, and mitigation strategies in the responsible areas.
  • Act as a SME business partner for finance projects.
  • Assist the Group Finance Controller in developing and executing the Regional Finance plan.
  • Ensure adherence to Discova Group's reporting requirements and timelines.
  • Prepare analysis of actual results/budgets for the region
  • Manage regional finance cost budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and legislation.
  • Actively seek opportunities for business performance improvement and costsaving initiatives.
  • Review, develop, and implement processes to enhance operational and financial efficiencies.
  • Resolve financial reporting issues resulting from ERP system implementation.
  • Handle other ad hoc projects and analysis as delegated from direct supervisors and executives.

About You

The Essentials

  • Possess a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance as a minimum qualification.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 6 years of experience in the finance field, with an added advantage if the experience includes a regional capacity.
  • Hold a CA/CPA designation (or equivalent), which is highly desirable for this role.
  • Exhibit fluency in both written and verbal communication in both the national language and English.
  • Bring a minimum of 3 years of experience in effectively managing teams.
  • Experience in the travel and tourism industry is not a prerequisite but is seen as an advantage.
