Position Summary

Assurance Risk & Compliance (ARC) sits within the Group Finance Function and our goal is to support and challenge the business to ensure group-wide effective and optimised risk management, internal controls and assurance processes in place.


Key activities delivered by ARC include:

  • Effective Group-wide Risk Management.
  • Promoting and embedding a robust controls environment.
  • Delivering holistic risk based internal audit reviews.

Working independently, this position will be responsible for supporting the Director of Assurance, Risk & Compliance in shaping, developing & driving the right culture towards efficient and effective risk management and compliance with group policies.

Job Description
This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the Group's Compliance agenda and Risk Management processes, including:

  • Review, design and develop the group's Compliance Program to ensure Global Policies are up to date and embedded across the group.
  • Establishing a policy and regulatory requirement review process to ensure Edrington's Code of Conduct and Group Policies remain relevant and up to date.
  • Driving awareness and compliance to Risk Management Policy, Code of Conduct and Group Policies through regular communications and training.
  • Monitor the performance and effectiveness of the Group Compliance Program on an ongoing basis to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develop/implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
  • Implement and embed Edrington's Risk Management framework across the group.
  • Drive compliance with the KY3P (Know Your Third Party) and compliance screening processes, including the delivery of a groupwide due diligence tool and establishing adequate ongoing monitoring processes.
  • Work with stakeholders to build and sustain a strong compliance culture.
  • Serve as the point of contact for guidance on Compliance, policy interpretation and policy development thinking.
  • Drive Compliance & Ethics initiatives across the group, ensuring they are aligned with the Assurance vision and Control Framework.
Previous Experience Required

  • Strong and demonstrable risk management and enterprise risk management experience, including internal and external risk management, risk register and risk frameworks.
  • Robust and demonstrable experience in managing a compliance agenda, including Code of Business Conduct, Third Party Due Diligence, Data Privacy, Anti-Corruption, Anti-Trust, etc.
  • Knowledge of business processes, including finance, procurement, manufacturing and understanding of IT General Controls and advantage
  • In depth experience commensurate to this level of role in developing Group Policies, including policy development, training and compliance monitoring.
  • Knowledge of Reporting and Corporate Governance, incl. SAO and thirdparty due diligence
  • Experienced project manager who is able to deliver complex projects and change programmes with Global reach/impact
  • Experience in the development of compliance programmes, including carrying out and advising business partners on policy developments, designing compliance requirements into business processes and systems.
Knowledge and Skills

  • Fluency in English
  • Must posses a bachelor's degree or higher
  • Ideally CA / CIMA / ACCA Qualified with extensive experience in financial and nonfinancia
