GENERAL DESCRIPTION:Leads and develops short or medium term strategies to improve the operational performance of the maintenance department.

Supervises and develops maintenance personnel.
Guarantees the availability of machinery and performance of the team of technicians.


EXPERIENCE AND STUDIES REQUIRED:

Degree in electromechanical, mechatronic, mechanical, electrical, industrial or related engineering.
4 years of experience in the area of equipment maintenance in the metal-mechanic industry.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND STUDIES:

English 85% written and spoken.
Project management.
Budget management, vacations, overtime, team sustainability plan.

Budget preparation and administration.
Extensive knowledge in preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance strategies, root cause analysis, good command of fault diagnosis.
Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, control, drivers and PLC systems.


Knowledge of techniques and philosophies such as: TPM, Six Sigma, 5's, DMAIC, SMED, PDCA.


Knowledge of security techniques and standards such as: Lock-Out, Tag-Out (Candadeo y Tarjeo). Use of personal protective equipment and work at heights, handling of chemicals, confined spaces, etc.
Experience in the metal-mechanic industry, presses, CNC bending machines, disc cutters, laser cutters, traveling cranes, etc.
Experience in FANUC, YASKAWA, BALDOR or similar controls.


MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Keep the production equipment running according to the needs of the company.
Ensures equipment is safe to operate and participates in safety related activities.

Supervise the team of technicians and maintenance group leaders, creating a good work environment, continuously improving the efficiency of the personnel under their charge and achieving the annual objectives of the department.

Design and use the necessary preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programs.

Use diagnostic and improvement tools to correct failures in production equipment in a systemic way to prevent them from recurring.


Service attitude:
Meets the needs of internal and external customers in an attentive, timely and effective manner.


Use BRPMS techniques such as:
Ideas, 5's, TPM, PDCA, PSP, DMAIC, 8D, SMED, Kaizen, etc. Y Participates in assigned committees.
Forecast the investment required in each of the equipment in the production line.
Analyze the available data to prioritize and guide the workload according to the strategic objectives.
Promoter of change, inspire the team to do the same.
Work cooperatively with different work teams.
Take advantage of opportunities to improve your performance and that of the team.
Takes full responsibility for own work and proactively copes with challenges.
Demonstrates your commitment and perseverance in achieving the objectives.

Supervises the group of maintenance technicians under his charge, giving timely monitoring of their performance and training required by regulations and maintenance execution.

Develop the strategy together with the maintenance planning team to keep the equipment in optimal conditions.

Ensures the functioning and availability of the equipment during operation, adapting the maintenance strategy and following the maintenance programs necessary for this purpose.

Always focused on working safely, good use of resources and creating a pleasant work environment for his group.
