TEST ENGINEER

Position Objective:

Primary Responsibilities:

Support manufacturing and testing
Implement improvement initiatives with the function and program levels
Experience with interpreting electrical and engineering drawings
Ability to interpret engineering specifications and Product specifications
Develop, implement, and document production test processes and methods.
Develop and review test equipment specifications and compliance. Testing types includes but not limited to Parametric tests for diodes IR, VBR, TRR, Thermal impedance, Thermal resistance AC/DC dielectric withstand test.
Provide the dispositions for nonconforming material
Works with manufacturing engineers to develop and evaluate capital appropriation requests (CAR's) for new products, processes, programs and initiative
Improve the test process using the statistical tools (Gage R&R, SPC, DOE, ANOVA) to improve the key indicators (Yields/Scrap)
Work with NPI group in the introduction of new products
Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering
Preferred with >3yrs experience in similar position
Understanding of Diodes Test, electrical test
Experience in the use of statistical tools (SPC Gage R&R, DOE, ANOVA)
Use of statistical analysis programs (Minitab)
Analytical capacity for problem solving
Ability to interact with all levels company

Preferred Qualifications:

Electrical test knowledge for diodes and rectifiers assemblies
Working knowledge of LabVIEW, or similar control software to be used in the testing environment
Be familiar with diode industry standard test hardware and software
Strong planning and organizational skills with ability to be adaptable to changing priorities and assignments
Experience with SAP
New product introduction (NPI) experience
Yield analysis experience
