    Description This position is part of the application development and support team building and working on enterprise grade software system.

    This role works across multiple facets of the projects and juggle multiple responsibilities at the same time.

    This person will have the major responsibility of implementing complex solutions working closely with project managers, solution architects and leading software developers looking after the technical aspects of the project.

    This position must also be able to develop IT solutions to address customer requirements. This person clearly stands out in terms of productivity, quality, maturity and adaptability.

    Accountabilities Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle; keeping in mind most engineering details of a project or system.

    Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutions.

    Develops, updates and advocates for the technical direction of a product or part of an application by helping the development team resolve difficult engineering problems.

    Encourages healthy debate between team members and facilitates the decision making process. Provides real-time performance feedback to Manager for the team members. Sees and finds opportunities for challenges the team will face in advance. Delegates responsibility for areas of the codebase or project to capable and appropriate team members. Translates engineering realities into simple terms for non-technical stakeholders. Answer the technical questions that team or stakeholders have. Schedules OnCall Support. Manages incident and constantly improve the percentage of incidents resolved within SLA. Exemplifies KCS/KCSM Vision, Values, and Culture in each and every interaction with team, clients, and stakeholders.

    Ideal Candidate Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a job related major field of study such as Computer Science.

    Minimum five (5) years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Very good English language communication skills. Preferred Master's degree in appropriate field of study would be preferred. Experience in the usage of UML.


    MCSD:

    App Builder 7+ years of professional experience in Microsoft .NET development using C#, web development using HTML5, CSS and JavaScript, client/server application development, agile development methodologies and implementing and consuming large scale web services.

    2+ years of professional experience in Angular and Boostrap Development.

    Experience with professional software development best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.

    Java development skills Delphi/Pascal development skills. Essential functions This position has a regular full time schedule with a normal work week of Monday through Friday. There may be a need for occasional work after hours or weekends. On-call responsibilities are an essential function of this job.

    Employees must have the ability and willingness to support operations of mission critical systems and/or processes 24 hours per day/7 days per week.

    On-call assignments may include after-hours, weekends and holidays. This position may require minimal travel up to 10% of the time. Very good understanding of project architecture from server and networking level to details related to the code implementation. Solid understanding of object oriented programming concepts. Solid understanding of relational database design and querying concepts. Familiarity with version control concepts. Solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts. Proven experience in leading and managing the delivery of system/software development projects in a structured environment. Experience with supporting mission critical, 24x7 systems. Eagerness and willingness to learn new technologies. Self-motivated, team player, action-and-results oriented. Ability to lead and influence others. Comfortable working without routine supervision. Excellent personal organization. Good communication and reporting skills. Ability to prioritize and carry out multiple tasks. Strong facilitation and coaching skills. Ability to successfully work under tight project deadlines and remain cool and effective in a crisis. Desire to remain technically capable and an expert in current technologies.
