qualified Abogado / Lawyer - Legal Specialist to work for one of our third-party clients.


David P. Kashani APLC is searching for a qualified
Abogado / Lawer - Legal Specialist to join our team. We are a rapidly growing law firm in the Southern California region that focuses on personal injury type lawsuits, and we are in need of assistance in managing our expanding case load.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct preclaim investigation, legal research, and initial case assessments
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents and file them with the court
  • Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics, etc.)
  • Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
  • Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests
  • Gather relevant information from a variety of sources
  • Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties
  • Help with voir dire, jury selection, and witnesses' preparation
  • Provide assistance with case settlements

Experience:


  • Working knowledge of personal injury concepts including familiarity with insurance industry and medical matters preferred
  • Track record of following, implementing and owning internal guidance, templates and playbooks and providing detailoriented services to internal or external clients.
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills; demonstrated ability to lead client and executive engagements and succinctly communicate complex technical and compliance matters to various audiences in an easily digestible manner
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to clearly recognize risk elements in business transactions
  • Experience in establishing and developing policies and procedures as well as implementing either changes to existing processes or implementing new processes as needed to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance
  • Strong capability to work under pressure, to tight timelines, and under their own initiative, both independently and within a highly collaborative team environment
  • Proactive, with the ability to selforganize and multitask in a fastpaced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail and ability to produce high quality work product
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills; including ability to prioritize tasks, meet project deadlines of competing priorities, and manage multiple engagements simultaneously
  • Robust analytical, critical thinking, and innovative problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of contract language, budget development and negotiations
  • BA/BS from accredited school, advanced degree preferred
  • Qualified lawyer, with at least 5 years' experience working in a fast paced and demanding compliance or public procurement role for a toplevel law firm or a top multinational organisation operating in a well regulated sector, or similar experience working in a personal injury attorney role for a leading regional or international law firm or a leading multinational organisation.

  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish
  • Good American accent
  • Quiet home office work environment
  • Willing to work in US PST time zone
  • Fast and reliable internet connection of at least 10MBPS with internet backup available
