Objectives:
Support Foreign Trade Manager (FTM) in maintaining a high level of Import and Export compliance
by performing audits of Imports and Exports Operations based on stablished procedures; as a
byproduct of such audits, identify deviations and support FTM in the development of corrective
actions that result in the avoidance of processes execution deviations and result in a higher level of
Compliance as it relates to Imports and Exports regulations set forth by Mexican authorities.
Responsibilities:
Support the Foreign Trade Manager and Team to ensure Compliance to Mexican
Import/Export Regulations as well as acting as guardian of Internal Operational Procedures.
Conduct periodical audits to the operations to identify process deviation and improvements.
Monthly audits of the 5% of the operation to identify possible risk of compliance with
customs legislations.
Ensure the report operations are complete and correct against authority databases.
Ensure that the record keeping for customs purposes is complete and available.
Conduct Customs Agents evaluations to rate their performance and ensure they meet
expected Compliance Levels
Prepare the monthly documentation required to comply with the annex 24.
Ensure the support documentation of the preferential duty certificates is correctly stored.
Ensure the HTS codes and preferential duty treatment catalogues are updated.
Archive the HTS criteria determination.
Ensure that the Compliance risks and process deviations have a corrective action
implemented.
Advice the impact of the modification in the regulations applicable to our operations.
Participate in the creation and implementation of good practices in operational and
administrative processes to increase their efficiency and quality.
Participate and prepare training on operational and technical processes in foreign trade
matters.
Provide information and documentation to solve the corresponding internal and external
audits and compliance processes.
Participate in the development of the objectives and their action plans as well as comply
with them.
Receive, safeguard and transform into Excel format the databases of the authority (Data
Stage).
Support in the development of the operating procedures.
Update the contact directories of internal clients and suppliers.
Participate in the implementation of new systems.
Participate in the integration of new operations or business units.
Support the operational team when needed.
Other projects and tasks as assigned.
