- Investigate claims to ascertain validity of claims and extent of company liability.
- Processes freight and property claims for which company is liable and submits claims to head office for settlement, or negotiates settlement with claimant and authorizes payment.
- Testifies at court hearings to present evidence on company liability from investigation documents.
- Communicate with customers, insurance companies, surveyors, and others regarding claim status and claim-related matters.
- Tracks and maintains record of legal cases and claims to evaluate the relevance. Work Schedule:
- Guadalajara Offices 8:00 am-5:00 pm CST (M-F) Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 or more years of experience in claims adjusting
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Maintains strict confidentiality
- Highly organized and proven ability to multi-task
- Basic knowledge of Windows applications and Microsoft Office (MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience with Microsoft Office. Education & Experience:
- It is required that the candidate has an Associate's degree.
