Job Purpose Summary
Sr Planner-Buyer will play a critical role improving the way teams deliver high-quality customer experiences.

This position is responsible for the material planning, inventory control and purchasing execution and/or coordination enabling effective, efficient, flexible and sustainable supply chains to help achieving the organization's goals.

What you will do (job duties)

  • Manage raw material purchases based on planning requirements, raw material, and execute purchase orders and production orders.
  • Responsible for using the ERP D365 system to effectively manage the supply organization in all aspects of the supply chain process, developing detailed scheduling plans for each workplace and department.
  • Ensure that purchases are with approved suppliers.
  • Manage and maintain the optimal level of inventory to meet product requirements. Identify demand variations to establish safety stock strategies (Min-Max, ROP, Kanban)
  • Maintain communication with suppliers and monitors performance.
  • Conduct the initial supplier contacts for new products and/or transfers.
  • Participate in supplier price and contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, marketing and customer service to ensure the highest possible level of customer service while still meeting the established goals of plant productivity and efficiency.
  • Main contact between the supply chain structure and the manufacturing team to provide relational feedback
  • Identify planning strategies and techniques to manage semifinished products with the highest service levels for assembly areas, while maintaining control of inventory targets.
  • Maintains the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the Purchasing function.

What you will need (job requirements)

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline is required.
  • MBA degree and/or professional certification (CPM, CPSM, 6 Sigma) is a plus.

Experience:


  • 35 years of experience in planning, purchasing, global procurement or supply chain management in medical devices manufacturing industries.
  • Proven experience in transfer projects.

Knowledge & Skills:


  • Intermediate computational knowledge (Office management: Word, Excel, Power-Point)
  • Broad knowledge in production systems for planning and purchasing, such as MRP and JIT.
  • Knowledge in system: D365 / ERP desirable.
  • APICS desirable
  • Previous experience in planning and/or materials.
  • Ability to work with different hierarchical levels.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Great ethical and professional sense, plus courtesy when dealing with suppliers.
  • Analytical skill in various situations and ease in decision making.
  • Strategic thinking, problem solving and strong analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead crossfunctional teams.
  • Strong sense of accountability, results oriented, cando attitude.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
