    Trade Compliance Analyst – Senior

    We are searching for a skilled Trade Compliance Analyst – Senior to join our team specializing in LOGISTICS for our CUMMINS in San Luis Potosí, SLP, México.

    In this position, you will have a significant impact in the following ways:

    Position Summary:

    The Trade Compliance Analyst - Senior role at Cummins involves intriguing challenges in the realm of global trade administration and export/import regulatory compliance. Senior Analysts play a key part in researching, executing, and leading process enhancements to ensure ongoing compliance with customs and export control regulations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain a solid knowledge of local laws and regulations connected to import/export licenses, registrations, and filings.
    • Manage, audit, and reconcile pertinent information for the designated geographic area.
    • Oversee import/export operations of all business units in the specified area and submit activity reports.
    • Review license applications and registrations, handling non-routine inquiries and serving as an escalation point for issues.
    • Contribute to process enhancements and offer guidance and direction on problems and challenges.
    • Establish and uphold relationships with pertinent government entities.

    Export Controls:

    • Maintain a solid comprehension of local export control laws and regulations and assess defense and dual-use programs.
    • Review potential matches on restricted party assessments and conduct due diligence investigations.
    • Handle export control classification assignments and compile documentation for controlled goods programs.
    • Conduct compliance audits and assist in enhancement strategies.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with government bodies.
