- Monitoring the projects and needs of the company's new products. To develop the necessary equipment to ensure the expected operation of these products, required in their test specifications.
- Research and development of new methods, equipment and systems design, to implement improvements in test equipment of new developments and current equipment.
- Develop the test plan to be carried out for new products.
- Development of the electrical, mechanical, software, pneumatic and documentation of the new test equipment.
- Carry out and document the necessary validations to the design and software, which ensure the test specifications for the products.
- Document and manage designs, schematics and software.
- Train and support the Support, Manufacturing, Quality and Production Engineers so that they have an understanding of the functions of these teams.
- Identify, develop and implement test and process improvements.
- Use quality and department reports to measure test team performance and implement improvements.
- Select and purchase material incorporated into the Test equipment designs.
- Contribute to the record of actions of the test teams and department projects for purposes of improving their performance.
- Implement the actions necessary to achieve or exceed cost reduction goals within the area of responsibility.
- Functions as a responsible member of the team with the ing. of product, quality and manufacturing personnel to maintain a high degree of quality and productivity.
- Comply with the applicable security policy, regulations and procedures in the company.
- Engineer preferably Electromechanical, Mechatronics and/or Electronics. Minimum years of experience as a development engineer.
- Ability to work with electronic equipment systems.
- Minimum % bilingual Spanish/English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills (both Spanish and English).
- Experience in ICT equipment, Functional Tests and Electronic processes.
- Advanced level in CVI programming, Lab View, VB, C++, PLC.
- Ability to solve problems using analytical methods.
- Knowledge of automatic inspection equipment (Vision system).
- Ability to manage projects.
- Knowledge of basic instrumentation, including digital multimeters, converters, analog-to-digital converters, oscilloscopes, and signal multiplexers.
- Knowledge and management of software for mechanical design.
- Visa to travel to the US.
- Experience in automatic inspection equipment.
- Knowledge of statistical methods, for the analysis and improvement of the performance of test equipment.
- Knowledge of communication protocols, RS, IC, TTL.
- Green Belt certification
