Purpose Statement:

As part of the Global Business Consulting organization, Travel Program Management (TPM) practice line is one of the fastest growing organizations within that group, aiming to provide value by executing strategic and operational travel management on behalf of our customers.

This position of a Travel Program Specialist (TPS) within the TPM practice line will be responsible for providing extensive travel operational and stakeholder management.

The TPS is responsible for the day-to-day operation and execution of the travel program and related projects, and includes the following activities:


Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Travel Operations and Management Support
  • Administers travel policy rules and preferred supplier's contracted rates set up for all platforms (online, offline)
  • Supports the implementation of new tools and processes around traveler operations
  • Monitors agency performance targets including customer service level agreements (SLA)
  • Online Program Support
  • Assesses travel policy rules and liaison with the online support teams (site reviews)
  • Manages the direct relationship, administer configuration and understand user navigational experiences
  • Provides site messaging recommendations based on program needs
  • Communicates product upgrades, functionality enhancements and issues
  • Shares best practices on proven online usage strategies, communications and benchmark metrics
  • Provides an ongoing online educational support to travelers: communicating recommendations
  • Reporting & Data Analysis
  • Researches, analyzes and reports on travel work streams across enterprise
  • Participates in analysis of business requirements
  • Communications
  • Coordinates and supports communications, progress and best practices in executing tactical and operational travel management activities
  • Continuously updates travel information on
's intranet and travel intranet sites; leverages traveler communication, guidance and support

  • Supports the implementation of new tools and processes around traveler operations

Additional Accountabilities:

  • Provide ongoing updates on reported issues as needed to ensure understanding and timely completion
  • Research and resolve escalated online booking tool issues
  • Interface with clients and all AMEX GBT technology groups that support the online booking tools
  • Generate creative ideas to ensure product is used effectively
  • Gather and share best practices across clients and segments
  • Use analytical and creative approach to condense large amounts of information into a clear, concise, effective format
  • Drive results by operating with a sense of urgency, employing effective time management to deliver results within deadlines
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

  • A minimum of an Associate's Degree is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred
- _ One (1) _year of related experience is required; _Three (3)_ years of related experience is preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.


Other Qualifications:

  • Experience in business travel, experience in card/payment solutions a plus
  • Understanding of travel data and overall travel related processes with ability to analyze spend and trends.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Fluent in English, additional language skills are an advantage
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
