- Analyze market and delivery conditions to assess current and future material availability, and generate market analysis reports
- Use appropriate cost analysis, negotiation, and purchasing strategies to guarantee quality, price, delivery, and service
- Lead and support cost reduction initiatives, ensuring thorough cost analysis and negotiations for optimal value
- Select and manage suppliers offering high-quality products and services at competitive prices, adhering to ethical standards
- Review purchase orders and contracts for compliance with company policy
- Negotiate relevant contracts for the assigned commodity
- Define supplier selection/strategy for the assigned commodity aligned with company guidelines
- Identify synergies between Regional Commodity and Project Purchasing to maximize cost savings and business growth opportunities
- Utilize supplier management reports and risk assessment tools to formulate supplier strategy
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions, provide regular reports on activities and strategy, engage in supplier development, and conduct quality audits
- Schedule and lead annual strategic reviews with key suppliers, support project teams, and manage change processes
- Introduce new suppliers, resolve escalated issues with suppliers, and promote a collaborative approach
