SUMMARY:

SUMMARY:


As the Front Office Manager, you'll be responsible for providing quality guest service within the guidelines specified by hotel management.

You'll lead all Front Office operations including; Front Desk, PBX, Concierge, Bell, Door, Valet, Night Audit, and Room Service. Set and maintain a high level of guest service. Provide support, mentorship, counseling, and discipline to your team.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Properly delete or add transactions that will assist in balancing revenues.
  • Monitor and maintain property interfaces.
  • Review Front Desk logbook for any other information or incidents, communicate with desk agents to gather pertinent information.
  • Review all arrivals noting any special requests or challenges. Assess whether any guest relocation will be necessary.
  • Follow established key control policy.
  • Inspect all VIP arrival rooms.
  • Attend monthly Wine Hour according to the schedule.
  • Assist guests with services and requests.
  • Knowledgeable of Fire and Emergency Procedures.
  • Run and attend departmental training classes and seminars as needed.
  • Professional communication via telephone with all other hotel departments such as; Reservations, Sales, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, Valet, Engineering, etc.
  • Ensure that hotel services are coordinated to provide the best in guest and employee satisfaction.
  • Perform any and all other duties as directed by immediate supervisors.

Supervisory Responsibilities:


  • Supervise all duties performed by your team.
  • Create and post all employee schedules on Thursday by 12 noon.
  • Coach, counsel, and discipline employees when necessary, using proper documentation and proper techniques.
  • Ensure that your team completes their essential duties before their departure.
  • Make sure all employees are posted at their stations at the correct time.
  • Schedule for all areas of operation. Assist with all sick calls or tardiness by finding proper coverage, report to work and stay until proper coverage can be found.
  • Assist with any scheduled shift problems on the Night Audit shifts.
  • Monitor all service levels provided by employees to guests and other fellow employees.
  • Meet or exceed levels of service required by the Mystery Shopper Survey, as well as the "guest comment card" return ratios.
  • Monitor and maintain proper Front Office operational supplies.
  • Meet or come in under payroll and expense budgets.
  • Ensure that all employees follow proper cash and credit handling procedures.
  • Accountable for the "guest ledger" and its proper daily maintenance.
