Context/Scope:

  • The Mexico IMC is in the process of integration of the Smirnoff and Tequila Don Julio brands.
  • The Modern Trade segments in Mexico are growing its level of sophistication in doing business. Regional accounts are growing relevance due to new competitive strategies to attract the consumers and shoppers into their outlets, such as clean stores, Portfolio diversity, new stores opening, and frontier relevance.
  • All of this clients focus on : improve shopping Experience, ecommerce Approach and Distribution improvements (Fill Rate/MOI)

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the commercial relation with the customer, influencing commercial customer team, replenishment team, and able to bring up customer top management team conversations.
  • Responsible for the buildup and negotiation of the JBP and multiyear strategy.
  • This position is responsible to lead a multifunctional team (CPFR, CP&A Off Trade and CP&A Reserve, Operations) to deliver full P&L and service critical metrics for the account.
  • Responsible for the full investment and commercial planning and execution to deliver AOP and JBP critical metrics.
  • Value business creation with each account.

Purpose of Role:

  • To optimally handle the overall P&L and JBP critical metrics for the account
  • To ensure Customer Plans of his responsibility are linked to the IMC's trade strategy, NRM targets and overall additional opportunities.
  • To proactively seek out new opportunities for Diageo's portfolio.
  • Crafts "outstanding" key account customer relationship and environment to drive mutual growth and delivery of both JBP and company targets.

Top 3-5 Accountabilities:

  • To achieve the Strat Plan volume and gross profit targets (GSV, NSV, TS, Mix, Min. Assortment, etc.)
  • To ensure Brilliant Execution of the Diageo brands by growing market share, share of shelf, share of exhibitions, and ensure brilliance in Service Critical Indicators (OOS, Fill Rate, etc.).
  • To construct appointed Joint Customer Plans in accordance with agreed business objectives, CDS and trade strategy.
  • Deliver a differentiated strategy for the individual and the business members.
  • Search and build standard process locally and globally and spin these findings into the task at hand and throughout rapidly.

Qualifications and Experience Required:
Essential

  • Extensive meaningful experience, including three or more years in a sales management Key Account Managing or commercial position in a fast paced Consumer Goods Company or similar
  • High emotional energy, Proved Resilience
  • Proved Experience in Turn Over Situations.
  • Key Customers management confirmed experience.
  • Results oriented.
  • Highly Driven and able to lead other teams.
  • Practical understanding of category development principles and trends
  • Highly developed interpersonal influencing skills to have impact in a constantly evolving environment
  • Strong analytical, interpretive and decision making skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Experience with crossfunctional teams
  • Excellent relationship builder
  • Articulate and persuasive with excellent oral and written communication skills
Desirable

  • Degree or MBA in relevant economic / commercial field, e.g. Business / Commerce
  • Total alcohol market knowledge
  • Corporate / head office experience
  • Ability to simplify and focus on driving through key initiatives
  • Ability to craft and influence strategic direction in order to redefine the market, take industry leadership and "change the game".
  • Knowledge of strategic frameworks and techniques and strategic capability

Position acknowledges:

  • Position based in Monterrey. Traveling at least 40% of the time.
  • Cities visited: Ciudad Juárez, Tijuana, Culiacán, Chihuahua where the clients are based.
  • Visiting them, at least once every two months.
