The person in this position will support the Global Legal and Communications business skakeholders and various IT Teams., providing high-quality services.


ensuring that IT services meet expectations including:

  • Accountability for the delivery of Corporate Governance IT services
  • Stakeholder engagement and escalation
  • Business process solution discovery
  • Demand management
  • Project Support on approved demands following the Alcon PM methodology.
  • High quality operational support delivery
How You Will Make a Difference

  • Key responsibilities_
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a geographically distributed teams, across time zones.
  • Own and support Corporate Governance demand process (new project or enhancement) from idea capturing to project approval, aligning with other IT supporting functions on competing priorities
  • Ensure that relevant stakeholders are involved in specification of new services and/or major upgrades to existing services
  • Maintaining an indepth knowledge of Corporate systems
  • Develops, maintains, and establishes operational specifications for systems considering such things as information flow, configuration setup for systems, volume, ad hoc reporting, analysis, and document format
  • Coordinates and facilitates projects, testing, training, change management and system patch or upgrade analysis
  • Represents the business unit to define requirements, process mapping and business cases for the technology developments
  • Partners with business and technology teams to ascertain system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, execution of user acceptance and may coordinate and perform testing, and system techniques and controls.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement on current services by constantly capturing feedback, assessing team performance, and conducting retrospective sessions.
  • Highlight/identify gaps in existing functionality, work with stakeholders in establishing standardized processes to enable and ensure cost effective and scalable product delivery and product governance
  • Ensure team adheres to Alcon ́s established governance, frameworks and tools and ensure consistency with Alcon ́s policies, standards, processes, and guidelines
  • Act as the customer escalation point of contact in the area of Corporate Governance
  • Capability to work independently with minimum supervision and guidance

Skills For Success

  • Key Requirements/Minimum Requirements_
  • Min Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT Technology, or related IT field
  • Experience: 7 years of applicable experience
  • Proven accomplishment records in the area of business process analysis/design, user requirement gathering & documentation, workshop facilitation techniques and project & change management.
  • Software-AsA-Service (SaaS) or Platform-AsA-Service (PaaS) successful working experience, including support and exposure on ticketing tool and management with external vendors
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to map and relate processes to IT Systems functionalities
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
  • 5+ years of applicable Project Management/Business Analysis experience.
  • Life Sciences industry experience preferred
  • Scrum or Agile methodology experience required
  • Experience playing the Business Analyst role
  • Basic knowledge and understanding about SaaS systems and Cloud based implementation
  • Proven experience in leading distributed teams as part of matrix organizations.
  • Drive all issues to resolution with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and efficient task execution
