The

Logistics Manager, position is a management role within UEI's Supply Chain organization and has responsibility for all inbound/outbound logistics and warehousing in the Americas region. This position will assist in executing the direction from the Director, Global Logistics. Strong partnership with stakeholders across the global Operations and Commercial organizations is mandatory to deliver key initiatives. The position will comprise of building an effective logistics organization, developing, and executing supplier strategies and driving operational efficiencies leading to financial results. The position will closely work together with internal stakeholders and external suppliers in the Americas and with our Logistics organization abroad.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
***- Responsible for driving on-time in-full delivery and delivery cost metrics across the Americas region. Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, master data, customer service logs, training, or safety records. Presents the current state of logistics to executive management.

  • Builds a highly capable team and creates and atmosphere of continuous improvement/learning. Responsible for the motivation and development of subordinates to optimize their performance and their personal and professional growth. Train shipping department personnel in roles or responsibilities regarding global logistics strategies.
  • Managing our vendor base of thirdparty warehousing providers, etc. Lead semiannual review of all spend and RFP process to ensure our costs align with market rates. Stays on top of logisticsrelated supply/demand and pricing trends that affect our company's supply chain.
Ensures daily transactional tasks are accurately completed in a timely fashion (transfer orders, return good authorizations, etc.). Lead the team to resolve problems concerning logistics systems or customer issues.

  • Create and enforce policies and procedures for internal logistics activities.
  • Drives continuous improvement, establish, and monitors internal and 3PL metrics.
  • Monitors Invoicing and Spend and support Budget preparation.
  • Supports the commercial organization on quote activities with accurate and timely logistics cost, information, and suggestions.
  • Maintains and supports CTPAT and OEA security profiles and validations along with the established teams on the different sites.
  • Ensures that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all supply chain department functions.
  • Works with Internal Audit and supports SOX compliance requirements related to logistics management.
  • Supports related compliance activities in coordination with AMER and APAC Compliance Teams.
  • Travel internationally as required to strategize with global business partners.

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years in direct Logistics/Distribution management roles.
  • Proven history of developing effective organizations to drive supply chain/logistics excellence.
  • Strong knowledge of global supply chain management required.
  • Handson leadership style with ability to get in the details when required.
  • Strong team player, partnering with senior/executive management and individual contributors.
  • Excellent presentation/communication skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Oracle EBS software experience preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering / IT / Supply Chain / Business or equivalent work experience.
  • MBA is a plus.

Work Condition

  • Some travel may be required less than 30%
  • Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time; Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components
