Objectives & Measurement


Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities:

Including but not limited to:

  • Responsible for the implementation and commissioning of intelligent machines providing support both remotely and in person globally for Weir product lines under digital portfolio.
  • Go to expert for the resolution of hardware faults related to Wireless & Wired condition monitoring and process optimization solutions.
  • Resolving IIoT field issues in a timely manner reporting progress to key stake holders and implementing measures to reduce the likelihood of reoccurrence.
  • Analyze machine data, document faults / Incidents and report fault conditions to key stakeholders.
  • Manage testing and commissioning industrial control systems. Use of TwinCAT, field communication buses, control programs, development environments for programming, diagnostics and configuration.
  • General knowledge on IIoT platforms and advance analytics platform such as but not limited to Aveva Pi, Mindsphere, XMPro etc. Perform analytics inside the Weir Synertrex infrastructure (PI XMPRO etc.)
  • Support constant development to improve robustness and capability of Synertrex platform
  • Proficiency in data analysis techniques like AI, ML, DL, and digital twins, cognitive solutions.
  • Solving any data or performance issues related to IIoT platform and data sources
  • Understanding of managing a service to customers at agreed levels of service and quality standards, including the tools, methods and procedures used in the service
  • Performs effective classification and prioritization of unresolved MD helpdesk incidents and problems.

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

Education & Experience:
Degree / master's in, Electrical, E & C, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering or similar with 4 or more years of experience


Technical Skills:

  • Handson experience with OT to IT integration to Manage IIoT Integration with customer DCS. Study the connectivity, design, develop and integration from onpremises gateway, DCS to the cloud
  • Direct work experiences with TwinCAT, testing and commissioning industrial control systems and IIoT platform & tools like Aveva Pi or XMPro.
  • Extensive experience in developing and managing dashboards and reports in any IIoT popular platforms.
  • Must have knowledge of communication protocol like RS 232, TCP/IP, Modbus TCP, Profibus DP, Ethernet IP, CAN, OPC UA etc.
  • Knowledge over Electrical & instrumentation devices. Should have broad exposure in Measuring Devices and knowledge of sensors both analogue and digital.
  • Knowledge of data architecture, data modelling, data mapping, data analysis, and data visualization
  • Practical knowledge of Heavy Industry mechanical equipment, electronics engineering design analysis and failure analysis
  • Sound knowledge and experience in configuration of complex systems (embedded + wireless + networking + SCADA + IIoT + ADC)
  • Network configuration and diagnostics and troubleshooting such as setting up IP addresses, network segmentation and segregation; determining network performance and diagnosing communication issues in both wired and wireless.
  • Working knowledge XMPro, Aveva Pi, SAP Analytics, and Ticketing systems is a plus

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of Industrial IoT, condition monitoring and process optimization.
  • Understanding of Digital IT system processes, technology, infrastructure, and specification
