The person in this position will support the Surgical Sales Team, providing high-quality services. This person will be responsible of selling and promote surgical products (Advanced Technology IOLs). Consult and develop surgeons during the learning on new surgical techniques and technologies in the operating room. Sales representative advisor and expert in Alcon ́s products

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Key responsibilities_
  • Increase the DM in hightech intraocular lenses.
  • Development and maintenance of KOL's.
  • Involvement in refractive diagnosis that leads to the implantation of advanced technology lenses.
  • Management of training for residents, assigned doctors and all the personnel of the area involved in the process of implantation of the lens.
  • Compliance with KPI's, passing grades in product exams (>90%).
  • Use of assigned tools.
  • Brand positioning, promotion, and sale of refractive equipment.
  • Control and monitoring of Samples & Machines product evaluation.
  • Strategic use of equipment in demonstration.
  • Ability to consult with physician/surgeon key opinion leaders (KOLs), key customer decision makers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Have a high level of Alcon products knowledge as well as competition products knowledge.
  • Support Surgical Sales Force.
  • Provides advice of Alcon's technology usage inside the OR.
  • Market data gathering and update.
  • Planning and reporting of daily activities within Sales Force

Skills For Success

  • Key Requirements/Minimum Requirements_
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Ophthalmologist, Optometrist, Biomedical Engineering or similar.
  • The ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English as intermediate level.
  • 2 years of experience as a representative in ophthalmology / medical devices.
  • Desirable experience in calculation of intraocular lenses.
  • Specialized knowledge in measurements of lenses, topographic interpretation, studies by interferometry, basic generalities of optometry
