    Allyn International is currently looking for aGlobal Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team in Mexico Allyn is a privately held professional services firm established in 1992.

    We provide high-quality, customer-centric services and solutions for the global marketplace. Our core products include transportation management, logistics sourcing, freight forwarding, supply chain consulting, tax management, and customs compliance.

    The Global Trade Compliance Specialist will lead and direct the implementation of trade compliance programs, policies, procedures, training, and internal audit programs to help ensure compliance with U.S.

    Government and non-U.S. import and export regulations. This position will serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries and audits.

    Position Details:
    Global Trade Compliance Specialist

    Position/Classification:
    Full-Time; Exempt, Entry to Associate level

    Compensation:280,000-315,000 (Pesos)

    Language:
    Fluency in English REQUIRED

    Hours of Work:
    Regular business hours, Monday-Friday. Some weekend work may be required.

    Physical Demands:
    Sitting, and typing, 100% fully remote but must be local to Monterrey, Nuevo Len, Mexico.

    Required Experience and Education:
    Bachelor's or equivalent college degree requiredBilingual skills required (English and Spanish)Ability to formulate and present high level presentations and conduct trainings preferredProgram and project management experience preferredSupply chain compliance experience preferredA resume in English is requiredIdeal Candidate Skills:

    Manage client's customs consultants and customs brokers to ensure compliant, efficient, and cost effective entry of goods. Establish and monitor service providers' performance against clearly defined Key Performance Indicator's (KPI's)

    Provide regulatory interpretation and guidance in the following areas:

    Anti-boycott/Restrictive Trade Practices, export Control Classification, Export Licensing, Compliance training, Export Documentation, Tariff Classification, Customs Valuation, Duty Drawback, Reconciliation, Country of Origin Marking, Country of Origin Determination, Recordkeeping, Preference Programs/FTAs and Customs ClearanceEnsure proper product tariff classification and valuation informationDevelop and maintain customized compliance programs and processes specific to client needsConduct audits to assess the export/import compliance of client and supporting operating entities Assist in determining and implementing corrective actions where necessaryGather and provide detailed analysis and information which may financially impact sourcing decisionsManage supplier contracts and interface with client's suppliersIdentify cost savings opportunities from client data sourcesLead numerous ad hoc teams across the organization on a project by project basisContinuously evaluate current processes and recommend relevant changes or improvements to increase efficiency/productivityAllyn International clients range from small local businesses to Fortune 500 firms in industry sectors such as power generation and renewable energy, road construction equipment, electronics, industrial materials, heavy-duty trucks, mining and drilling equipment, oil and gas, modular building, medical equipment, not for profit, and US government.
