Job Overview:

This role will ensure the smooth operation and optimization of our Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform from technical and business perspectives. As an AEM Platform Developer, you will be responsible for administering, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the AEM platform to meet the needs of our organization and deliver exceptional digital experiences to our customers. The ideal candidate will possess solid technical acumen in AEM administration, configuration, maintenance, optimization, and development. They will also have a keen understanding of business needs and the ability to align technical solutions with organizational goals. By leveraging their expertise, the ideal candidate will contribute to the success of our digital initiatives, ensuring a reliable, secure, and high-performing AEM platform that drives business growth and delivers exceptional digital experiences to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test and implement Service Pack updates to keep the platform up to date with the latest features and security enhancements.
• Compile packages for stage and production deployments, ensuring that content and code changes are appropriately packaged and deployed.
• Implement a content delivery network (CDN) to optimize content delivery and improve website performance.
• Configure and test publish servers to ensure reliability and efficiency in content delivery.
• Address and mitigate potential smuggling attacks to ensure the security of web applications.
• Investigate and resolve platform issues to maintain system integrity.
• Review and enhance dispatcher security filters to protect against vulnerabilities and maintain dispatcher rules.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of core components to ensure they meet industry standards and best practices.
• Ensure platform health and website stability by regularly checking and updating SSL certificates and domains for security and compliance.
• Administer and maintain the AEM platform, including installing platform instances, configuring AEM, and managing AEM authorizations and permissions.
• Transfer data between AEM environments, including content, configuration, and applications.
• Define and execute tests for operational acceptance to ensure the quality and reliability of the AEM platform.
• Debug the full web stack, identifying and resolving issues related to AEM and its integrations.
• Create tools for debugging AEM and configuring AEM to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Apply security measures and tasks from the security checklist to the AEM environment.
• Optimize the performance of the AEM platform, including tuning hardware, operating system, and JVM settings.
• Monitor and analyze AEM metrics and log data to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize resource utilization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and deliver AEM solutions aligned with business objectives.

Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience operating and developing AEM solutions or similar content management systems.
• Experience defining system architecture and managing experienced developers.
• Prior troubleshooting experience reviewing code is desirable.
• Knowledge of OSGi and good coding practices.
• English fluency (spoken and written) required

Technical Skills:

• Strong experience operating and developing AEM solutions, focusing on non-functional aspects.
• Proficiency in configuring and maintaining AEM instances, including author and publish environments.
• Knowledge of AEM persistence layers, such as MongoDB and TarMK.
• Familiarity with Apache and dispatcher module installation and configuration.
• Understanding AEM replication agents, custom loggers, and global AEM OSGi settings.
• Knowledge of OSGi framework and its implementation in AEM.
• Understanding of IT change and operations management processes.
• Experience with J2EE development and understanding of enterprise Java frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate) and/or delivering standards-compliant HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML.
• Experience with continuous integration and automated testing tools, including Jenkins, Hudson, and Maven.
• Strong experience in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) development and implementation.
• Proficiency in AEM authoring and administration tasks, including user management, access control, and content publishing.
• Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git, for managing AEM source code and configurations.
• Familiarity with AEM deployment strategies and techniques, including package deployment and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Experience with AEM performance optimization and troubleshooting techniques.
• Understanding of agile development methodologies and experience working in agile teams.
• Knowledge of other marketing technologies and platforms, such as CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and digital analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and experience deploying AEM on cloud infrastructure.
