Position Summary
We are looking for an F4 Controls Engineer (Electro/Mechanic).

This position is responsible for coordinating and follow up of all the activities concerning a new project with a relentless attitude working with rigor and pace to execute project launch activities related to software/programing integration with assembly equipment.

The vacancy is to be positioned in Saltillo Coahuila MX, and will report to the MePa Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor.


Your Role

  • Coordination of meetings and participation with product engineer to identify new process feasibility along with process variation and required capacities for its inspection at end of line tester.
  • Participate and perform Manufacturing systems reviews.
  • Participate and perform technical design reviews with suppliers for new equipment.
  • Track and develop of project alongside the manufacturing engineers to cover every step of operating system to detect and reflect possible risks to comply with implementation date (A3, OPL, GANT, graphs)
  • Coordination of all project release activities with operations team such as layout review, movements and labor operations, line balance, PFMEA review, PFD review, project stress runs, machine qualification1 and machine qualification
  • Homologation and development of inspections systems (2D cameras, 3D scanners).
  • Troubleshoot software related issues with equipment functions, track I/O requirements with HMI, network, sensors etc. to comply with next step equipment operation.
  • Creation and administration of shared folders to document deliverables and keep information in regards of the project updated.
  • Keep updated information of project status in auditory documents as well as initial handoff documentation over to operations team.
  • Support for PPAP runs alongside operations and manufacturing engineering.
  • Delivery of new process to the manufacturing plant.
  • Perform initial trial runs and debug for new equipment.
  • Responsible for key manufacturing metrics (performance, availability ) for new production lines.

Your Background

Basic qualifications

  • High level of English proficiency is a must (70% or higher).
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 2 + years of experience in assembly processes.
  • CAD software knowledge (30% or higher).
  • Control software.
  • PLC, Vision Systems, automation skills.
  • Experience engineering changes, and manufacturing product release.
  • Develop PLC, HMI, Vision system inspection programs.
  • Read, modify electrical diagrams.
  • Experience with manufacturing documentation development PFMEA, PFD, GANT, VSM, MSD.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines for internal and customer usage.
  • Work with multiple departments to release manufacturing cells.

Nice to haves (preferred qualifications)

  • Prior experience in manufacturing, engineering.
  • PLC programing (any platform).
  • GD&T and drawing interpretation.
  • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Preferred have Visa and passport.
