We are searching for the best talent for CUSTOMS AND LOGISTICS MANAGER
to be in Juarez.

Purpose:

This job description covers the skills and responsibilities for the Customs and Logistics Process Development Lead position that provides support in the organizational and process setup and compliance of flow of material, assembled goods, equipment and operational supplies across the US/Mexico border and other foreign sites.

This includes connection of organizational management with other functions such as Plan, Source, Finance, Customs, and master data management


You will be responsible for:


  • Processes for border multiplant operation in compliance with all US, Mexico, oversight of the European government regulations as well as J&J policies for movement of raw material, assembled product, equipment, supplies, and returned product (PI analysis, rework).
  • Set up of Legal entities for import/export in US/Mexico
  • Tariff classifications.
  • Import/export permits and licenses.
  • Import/export transaction processing and connection with existing or new IT systems.
  • Financial flow and sale/title transfer
  • Process for Issue management for FDA clearance for all US imports from Mexico.
  • International Border transportation set up in support of required product and financial flows.
  • Service providers and agreements for services in warehouse and brokerage services
  • Inbond management process
  • Set up from Source organizations on transportation guidelines to meet contract manufacturing needs
  • Customs internal controls
  • Serve as an SME in conjunction with business owners in analyzing and advising on impact of changes related to US, Mexican Customs laws and regulations or other related countries in the contract manufacturing setup.
  • Works with business owners to ensure business oversight and regulatory and structural compliance.
  • Sets standards for safe behavior. Enforces safety policies and procedures.

  • FDA regulations pertaining to imports
  • Understanding of ERP, MRP, and Customs IT systems
  • Experience in areas of Procurement of indirect and direct materials; service agreements
  • Experience in asset control/management and regulation of these in a foreign country
