Descripción

Develops, implements and evaluates safety policies and procedures and may be involved in the compliance and ensurance of product EHS.

Provides leadership and technical expertise in the development of strategies, programs and training to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and company standards, improve safety and reduce/eliminate EHS related business risks.

Interfaces with external EHS agencies.

Partners with business/functional/DBS leaders on the development and implementation of action plans that drive closure of open issues and improvements resulting in improved safety performance and environmental controls.

Occupational Health roles that are internally-oriented medical professionals that provide for and deliver health and safety programs and services to workers, worker populations, and community groups should be assigned to this job family.

Develop and implement proactive EHS programs (Risk assessments, regulated chemicals, ergonomics, PPE, HAZMAT, noise, indoor air quality, respiratory protection) based upon regulatory requirements, company policy and standards and workplace evaluations.

Maintain EH&S Performance Measurement Program (i.e. audits, metrics), tracking and reports progress.
Launch and lead programs for recycling, waste management ad emissions reductions.

Identifies hazardous workplace conditions and takes preliminary samples and measurements of hazardous forces and toxic substances, removes hazards and/or protects employees by guarding, revising work procedures, and training or requiring use of protective clothing and personal protective equipment.

Develops methods for tracking EHS associated metrics to include, but not limited to: injuries, incidents and safety proactive observations and countermeasures.

Supervise the security guard and the activities related to patrimonial security.

Makes recommendations based upon data and regulation on ways to improve employee quality of life, increase safety and reduce costs.

Develop and sustain a commitment to safety culture through training and listening to internal customer needs

Responsible for partnering with all site functional departments to identify, develop, and implement training and programs required to meet regulatory compliance.

Environmental Management System, in accordance with ISO 14001
Assure compliance of environmental procedures stablished by the company.
Control and supervise the environmental aspects of the organization
Coordinate achievement of environmental objectives and compliance of the environmental health and safety policy.
Assure compliance of Environmental regulatory requirements.
